Bi-centennial Man

This was the first movie of Robbin Williams, which I had ever seen. It was a wonderful movie, which portrayed the life of a humanoid, which struggles and strives hard to become a human being. The picturization of the movie is excellent and the star does a great role. The way the humanoid works with the music player, carves a doll from wood is eye watering. The climax of the movie was the best part and also the most touching part.

What is biodiversity?

Biodiversity is the term used to describe the incredible variety of life that has evolved on our planet over billions of years. So far 1.75m present-day species have been recorded, but there maybe as many as 13m in total. The Grant Museum of Zoology in London invites visitors to explore some of the world's weirdest and most wonderful wildlife, including flying lizards and giant starfish.

New targets

The Darwin Prize, open to those aged between seven and 14, "provides an arena for children to talk passionately about biodiversity, a subject that many are already very enthusiastic about", explained Marie Clements from the Museum. Local wildlife enthusiasts all over the UK can also take part in a week-long "Hide and seek" survey by The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) to help investigate the importance of wetlands for local species.

The action does not stop when the Sun goes down. People all over the UK are invited to spot bats as they take to the night sky, as part of the International Night of Biological Diversity.

The wide range of activities this weekend is taking place just months before world leaders gather in Nagoya, Japan, to set new targets to tackle the rate of decreasing biodiversity.

Criminal Pictures in NewsPaper

What is the purpose of showing a criminal in a large photograph with his face covered? It reminds me of a cartoon of a foundation stone ceremony where no face was visible as everyone was looking down to see the stone being laid.

If a criminal or alleged criminal is caught, in fact, his photo should be clearly published so that many more will identify him and more information, either positive or negative, will be available to handle the case in more way that is justifiable.

My Dream world

The Internet is a huge hub of data, I was just browsing for some before after pictures of my city for a semester project and I came across some brilliant pictures of places some 50 years ago and how they look today. What I had noticed common in all those pictures was that , today most of those places, parks have been demolished for multi-storied buildings. Commercialism is at it peak now where quality of living was more important then. Thousands of trees have been uprooted to give way to the various malls.
